Mr. Hori is the president and founder of GLOBIS University, Japan’s No. 1 MBA. He is also the founder and managing partner of GLOBIS Capital Partners, one of Japan’s leading venture capital firms.
Committed to sparking positive change in society, he founded the G1 Summit, a Japanese version of the World Economic Forum; launched the KIBOW Foundation to support rebuilding after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami; and acquired once-bankrupted Ibaraki Robots, a basketball team in his hometown of Mito.
He is an avid swimmer and enjoys spending time with his family, especially his five sons.
