Ms. McIvor has over fifteen years of experience as an editor, translator, and language consultant at some of the top global companies in Japan, including Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc., Shiseido, and Warner Bros. Japan. She has also provided English consultation services to leading university professors, award-winning scientists, and world-renowned performers. In 2019, she was a presenter at the Japan Writers Conference.

She joined GLOBIS Corporation in 2018 and served for four years as Editor-in-Chief of GLOBIS Insights. In 2023, she began working as Chief Editor in the Faculty Department at GLOBIS University.

She holds a BA in international relations from the University of West Florida, as well as a copyediting certificate from the University of California San Diego.
