Dr. Marcos is a process and robotics engineer who holds a PhD with honors in production and computing engineering (with honors) from the University of Leon. He also holds a masters of science in international business management from ICEX.
In late 2008, after three years working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain in Tokyo, he co-founded the biotech group Genhelix (later acquired by the Insud Group), devoted to the development and manufacturing of monoclonal antibodies and other biotherapies against cancer and auto-immune diseases. In 2012, he co-founded the lean service provider Nishibi. He is currently lead consultant for the Organization of American States' project "Cybersecurity in Democratic Processes in Latin America and the Caribbean," as well as partner for Quantum Group and DPI Group.
Since 2016, he has been vice president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
