Mr. Kirk began his career as a professional cook in some of Philadelphia's top restaurants. After traveling abroad, he made a career shift to pursue his passion for storytelling in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, he's worked as a content strategist in Tokyo's startup scene as well as a freelance journalist. His writing on food and culture has appeared on publications across the web and print, including the The Japan Times, Japan Cheapo, and Tokyo Weekenender.
He joined GLOBIS Corporation in 2021 and is currently an editor of GLOBIS Insights.
He holds a BA in communication studies with a focus in journalism from Temple University, Japan Campus.
