Dr. Wakasugi is a faculty member at GLOBIS University. He has significant expertise in leadership development and organizational change.

Previously, he worked at management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, helping companies develop strategies and lead change. His current research topics are leadership, compassion, and mindfulness. He also serves as non-executive director at Prored Partners CO., LTD.; director at Japan Positive Psychology Association; and director at 社団法人人生100年生き方塾 (roughly translated as the "100 Years of Life Association").

He earned his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Hitotsubashi University, MBA from London Business School, and a masters in engineering from the University of Tokyo. He is a certified yoga instructor and a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion.
