Mr. Langley is the founder of Langley Esquire, a Tokyo-based consulting firm that specializes in public affairs and corporate advisory services. He is also the host of "Tokyo on Fire," a weekly YouTube video series devoted to in-depth discussion on Japan political issues.

He was formerly general counsel and public affairs director at Apple Computer (Japan), general counsel and public affairs director at General Motors Asia-Pacific, and Japan representative for the US Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was the first foreigner in the Japanese Parliament, serving as aide to Taro Nakayama, former member of the Upper House and minister of Foreign Affairs.

His specialties include consulting for multinational companies focused on public affairs and Japan corporate strategy.
