Yusuke "Ed" Matsuda
Founder, Teach for Japan

Mr. Matsuda is the country manager for Crimson Global Education, Japan's first and only online international high school, Crimson Global Academy.

He was also the CEO of a nonprofit educational organization Teach For Japan (TFJ), a member of the global network Teach For All, which was launched to assist social entrepreneurs around the world who have been inspired by Teach For America. In order to place TFJ participants, Mr. Matsuda cultivated strong relationships with strategic external stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Education, boards of education, school districts, and current and potential partner schools. TFJ serves 2,000 students every year.

Mr. Matsuda is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community and a research associate professor at Kyoto University. He was named one of the "100 Most Influential People for Japan" by Nikkei Business in 2014.
