Ms. Suwa is the general manager of Chrome Hearts, a company that specializes in high-end silver jewelry, leather clothing and furniture with gothic motifs. After injury dashed her dreams of becoming a professional ballet dancer, she forged a path for herself in the business world, working with several global consulting firms, including Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

After getting her MBA from Wharton, she accepted an offer from ITOCHU Prominent USA LLC to become director of investments in New York City, where she worked until moving back to Japan to join Chrome Hearts in 2011.

Ms. Suwa holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MBus and BBus from Doshisha University.
