Mr. Varlid has international marketing and senior executive experience in Europe, the U.S., and Asia. This includes 15 years in corporate banking in London and Tokyo, 2 years as Japan country manager for an Asian online wealth management company based in Singapore, and 7 years as president of Tomra Japan.
He is now president and co-Founder of EMC Quest K.K., helping business professionals in Tokyo become better presenters and communicators. He coaches executives on dealing with difficult management, HR, and personal challenges. He is currently also Program Director of the JMEC Business Training Program in Tokyo, a unique hands-on training program for mid-career business professionals operated by 18 foreign Chambers of Commerce in Japan.
