Mr. McClure is a Tokyo-based freelance journalist and broadcaster. In 1998, he published Nippon Pop, the first English-language book on Japanese pop music. In 2005, he helped establish nippop.com, the internet's leading source of information about Japanese music. Until 2008, McClure was Billboard's Asia Bureau Chief. In May 2009, he launched "McClure’s Asia Music News," a digital newsletter and website covering the Asian music industries.
