Born in Japan and raised in Portland, OR, Nina Cataldo graduated from Seattle University with degrees in Strategic Communications and Creative Writing. After graduation, Nina moved back to Tokyo to work as a writer and editor at a publishing firm before quitting to sail around the world on Peace Boat as an interpreter. Upon return, she began her solo career as a Multicultural Communications Specialist and Consultant for various Japanese and international companies, helping them bridge intercultural gaps. In 2021, Nina and her business partner, Kristy Ishii, co-founded the Brave & Bold Mastermind program for Asian Women Entrepreneurs.
While her expertise is in brand strategy and management, she shares the roles in guiding members from ideation to action on their entrepreneurial journeys. Nina is also the founder of Hafu Ladies, a global community for women with mixed Japanese roots.
