Customer Engineering Manager, Google Cloud Platform
Josh Ellis has spent 17 years in the IT industry. Early in his career he managed the data center and led bioinformatics integration for The Ohio State University, Mass Spectrometry & Proteomics facility. Ending his time in academia he co-founded the Ohio Collaborative Conference on Bioinformatics. He entered the commercial sector with CapGemini (Sogeti), EMC, and finally Dell where he held positions across consulting, on-premise and hybrid data center design, and was appointed Sales Engineering Director for the silicon valley region in northern California.
Today he leads the customer engineering team for Google’s energy vertical. This team partners with customers to identify and qualify both business and technical requirements, while removing technical impediments for the successful deployment and implementation of cloud solutions.
