Ms. Charles is a self-described “politics and history enthusiast,” spending her free time reading and debating current events with her friends and colleagues.

Before joining GLOBIS in July 2022, she worked for research institutions, think tanks, and a strategic consulting firm in Washington D.C., utilizing her knowledge of Japanese politics and policy to advise those in both the public and private sectors on Japan-related issues. At GLOBIS, she currently works on translating and editing content for the English MBA program.

She holds an MA in Asian Studies (international security policy and international relations of East Asia specializations) from The George Washington University and a BA in Asian Studies (history concentration) from Williams College.
